The District Assembly in collaboration with Ghana Productive Safety Net Project undertook a project on selecting some community members from Zieng for the production of cashew crops in the district.
This project involved a strategic approach. Regions with suitable climate, soil and the rainfall patterns for the cultivation of the cashew was assesed. The district assembly had a community engagement with the locals of the Zieng Community. This excercise took three days instead of the proposed two days. The first day, the registrants carried out a selection process whereby interested participants were registered. The following days was used to carry out the targeting process of taking the biometric details of the registered participants.
