As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen the District Development Data Platform (DDDP) and improve data-driven decision-making, the Nanton District Assembly organized a refresher training for departmental representatives on the newly developed DDDP user interface.
The training, held on Wednesday, 29th July 2026, brought together selected DDDP representatives from each department and unit of the Assembly. The session aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to effectively utilize the upgraded platform in their daily operations.
The newly introduced DDDP interface comes with enhanced features designed to improve the efficiency of data collection, validation, analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring. These improvements are expected to strengthen the quality of development data and support evidence-based planning and decision-making across the Assembly.
During the training, participants were taken through the updated functionalities of the system, including improved navigation, streamlined data entry processes, enhanced validation tools, and reporting features. Practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises enabled participants to gain firsthand experience in using the new interface while providing an opportunity to ask questions and receive technical guidance.
The refresher training also emphasized the importance of timely and accurate data entry, as well as adherence to data quality standards. Participants were encouraged to apply the knowledge acquired to support their respective departments in maintaining reliable and up-to-date information on the DDDP.
Speaking during the training, facilitators highlighted that the successful implementation of the upgraded platform depends on the active participation and commitment of departmental representatives. They encouraged participants to serve as resource persons within their departments by assisting colleagues and promoting the effective use of the system.
