The unit prepares and coordinates procurement-related operations, oversees the formulation and implementation of the procurement plan, contributes to the yearly budget preparation, and works with service providers and other stakeholders to complete procurement tasks.
The Unit is also responsible for ensuring that procurement activities comply with the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663), overseeing store management and asset disposal, and preparing and submitting Annual and Periodic Reports to the Public Procurement Authority.
