The Nanton District Assembly successfully held its Annual Performance Review Meeting on 10th September 2025 at the GPSNP Conference Room in Tamale. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including heads of departments, development partners, and security agencies, to assess the district’s progress and deliberate on strategies for improved service delivery.
The session opened with a prayer and introductory remarks, after which the District Chief Executive (DCE) and the District Coordinating Director (DCD) delivered their addresses. The District Planner outlined the purpose of the meeting, stressing the importance of accountability and participatory planning.
Heads of departments presented performance updates across various sectors including Education, Agriculture, Environmental Health, Budget, Physical Planning, Social Welfare, Community Development, and the Gender Desk. Development partners such as GPSNP and NORSCC also highlighted their contributions to ongoing interventions in the district.
Other presentations came from security and governance institutions such as NADMO, Police Command, NIA, NCCE, MIS, and BAC. These reports emphasized coordinated efforts toward disaster preparedness, civic education, and improved service delivery.
The meeting also featured an open discussion session, enabling participants to raise questions, make suggestions, and propose strategies for addressing challenges. The Presiding Member and Chair of the Development Planning Committee provided key reflections, after which the DCE and DCD delivered closing remarks.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the District Planning Officer and a closing prayer by the Internal Auditor.
This review reaffirmed the Nanton District Assembly’s commitment to participatory governance, collaborative planning, and sustainable development.
