The Nanton District Assembly successfully held its Fourth Quarter District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU) Meeting on Monday, 12th January 2026, bringing together key decentralized departments and stakeholders to review sector performance, share updates, and chart the way forward for coordinated district development.
The meeting was originally scheduled to commence at 10:00am. However, due to other official meetings that preceded it, proceedings formally began at 11:12am.
In the absence of the District Chief Executive (DCE) and the Deputy District Coordinating Director (DCD)—who were both engaged in other equally important official assignments—the meeting was duly chaired by the Head of the Planning Unit, ensuring continuity and adherence to the Assembly’s statutory planning processes.
Meeting Proceedings
The meeting opened with a prayer, followed by participant introductions and opening remarks. The purpose of the meeting was clearly outlined, emphasizing interdepartmental coordination, performance review, and alignment of departmental activities with the district’s development priorities.
