The Nanton District Assembly held a successful Annual Action Plan (AAP) Review Meeting on Tuesday, 10th June 2025 at the office of the District Coordinating Director (DCD). The meeting was organized by the District Planning and Coordinating Unit (DPCU), and it brought together key departmental heads, technical officers, and stakeholders across the Assembly.
The objective of the meeting was to assess the progress of implementation of the 2025 Annual Action Plan, identify challenges, and make necessary adjustments to ensure alignment with the Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP) and overall district development goals.
The meeting was chaired by the District Coordinating Director, who in his opening remarks emphasized the importance of collective responsibility, timely reporting, and data-driven decision-making. The District Planning Officer presented an overview of the AAP, highlighting implemented activities, outstanding targets, and indicators of progress across key sectors such as health, education, agriculture, sanitation, infrastructure, and social services.
During the session, department heads took turns to present updates on their respective sectors, discussing:
- Completed projects and initiatives.
- Ongoing interventions and timelines.
- Bottlenecks impeding progress and proposed solutions.
Several key outcomes were recorded:
- The need for strengthened interdepartmental collaboration.
- Improved monitoring and evaluation strategies.
- Prioritization of community-driven development initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all DPCU members to intensify efforts towards the full implementation of the 2025 Action Plan. The DCD thanked all participants for their dedication and encouraged continued cooperation in achieving the Assembly’s development objectives.
