The team, led by Dr. Nsia Asare and comprising officials from the Flagstaff House, actively monitored the project in collaboration with key stakeholders such as contractors, community leaders, clients, and the district assembly.

The purpose of their visit was to conduct an assessment of the Ghana Priority Health Infrastructure Project (GPHIP)—Agenda 111 Hospital Construction—to provide an update on the project’s progress and status. During the visit, they examined the proposed hospital structure, as well as the maternity ward, laboratory, reception area, pharmacy, and F&M ward.

According to the latest update, the ongoing project has reached the roofing stage. Our contractor, Mr. Yoozark, has provided us with valuable insights about the challenges that are currently causing a delay in the project’s progress. One of the primary issues that he has highlighted is the pending approvals required for the work to proceed. Additionally, some material samples are still awaiting approval. We are actively addressing these challenges to ensure the project proceeds smoothly and efficiently.

The other contractor, Mr. Novus Terra, has informed us that, upon approval of the aforementioned challenges, the completion and handing over of the project will be ready by June 30th, 2024.

The progress of the work has been remarkable and has garnered positive feedback from the team’s leadership.
